Feeding 9 Billion - Campaign - A case study

THE PROBLEM

When people don't understand an issue it just becomes noise in the background and they are not empowered to act on it.

Professor Evan Fraser, at the University of Guelph, is on a big mission to educate the world about global food security for a projected population of 9 billion by 2025.

Traditional ways of communicating the complex but urgent information like publishing it in books wasn't reaching nearly enough people.

We needed a way to not only reach the masses but engage them.

OUR SOLUTION

We created twelve 5-minute explainer videos in a whiteboard animation style.

The videos translated huge amounts of scientific research into easy to understand, inspiring and sharable information.

THE IMPACT

Half a million video views and growing, from almost every country in the world.

Next, we created a graphic novel that's widely used as a textbook in high schools and universities across North America and Europe.

The videos and graphic novel have produced a global communications platform that's amplified the message beyond Evan's expectations.
